Durante il GDC, lo sviluppatore Crystal Dynamics ha reso noto come Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light uscirà questa estate ma soltanto in via digitale.
Che il gioco non sarebbe uscito su supporto fisico si sapeva già, ma che uscirà già questa estate è sicuramente una bella notizia. Inoltre, è stato indicato come il titolo costerà 15$, un prezzo che potrebbe anche essere equo, quantomeno se il gioco dimostrerà il suo vero valore.
Le piattaforme di riferimento saranno la Ps3, Xbox 360 e PC.
